Currently own a '97 Wrangler

Currently own a '97 Wrangler and might need to get something bit bigger for family stuff... I'd actually like to hold out getting anything new/used until Jeep comes out with their EV (electric) Wrangler, perhaps in '10, especially if it really does have those rumored in-wheel electric motors. But if I buy later this year/next, it'd be another Wrangler but this round a 4-door (likely Rubicon) since it seems a nice balance for rugged people-family-mover for my budget. A decked out [used] Grand Cherokee might be nice, but a bit way too spendy with the way the economy is going.

XJs & TJ's

I plan on running this XJ into the ground (literally). I'll keep putting motors into it until the body rusts out (currently its spotless). Then I'll move my lift/skids/etc over to another XJ if I can find a low mile beauty or a 04-06 Unlimited TJ (LJ?). That should carry me until at least 2020. I'll pop a diesel in it if gasoline costs too much and burn used veggie oil in it.

My XJ

My XJ is 2000 vintage. The poor thing has been through hell and back. It looks great now that I had the body work fixed. I bought new tires that turned out to be TERRIBLE (thanks Belle Tire!). I plan on another Jamboree this year!

next jeep

I'm really interested in a flatty. I don't need a giant jeep to climb over massive rocks and stuff. Smaller obsticals with a stocker gives me as much fun and far more opportunities to wheel. Plus with a little flat olive drab, it looks cool.

uhm, what snorkel?

uhm, what snorkel?

The snorkel

The snorkel is necessary. Especially in cold weather, in any kind of weather. The reason being it takes the heat off the radiator and directs into the air cleaner. The constant heat enables the gasoline to vaporize easier while being taken into the intake manifold. Just easier driveability all the time.
