Anticipating the next trail ride

Hi, I am Dan. I wanted a YJ when I bought my first car, but my mom said it was too dangerous and wouldn't co-sign for a death trap. In college I had my first test drive in a Jeep, my older brother and I rented a TJ in the San Juan Triangle in Colorado, and I was foaming at the mouth to get one, but waited 6 and a half years until I was able to fulfill my dream. Finally, after a little coaxing from my older brother, I jumped the chance to buy a 2005 leftover in Feb. 2006. Since then I have gone down the same bumpy path as all Jeep owners, spend, spend, spend, until my dream is complete or at least satisfactory.

Currently out to sea!

I'm a Sailor in The US Navy. I Love just about any type of off road activity and got real into it when I was stationed in Utah for a while. I've been off roading in Moab but never went to the Jamboree. I also love Fly Fishing and watching most sports (not to big on basketball).

Love all things automotive. Racing, wheeling, cruising etc. Not too many places around here to wheel though. I put "That Buffs Out", but I'd still hate to see the "General" get bashed too badly.

Just starting out but willing to learn. Our TJ is my work vehicle so we can't bend it too bad or I will be walking. Our first JJ will be Palo Duro. We will be asking to be driving on the "bunnie trails" because of my beginner skills but we hope to get better and learn the finer points of 4-wheeling while on our first trip. We are looking forward to meeting all of the people associated with JJ and of course the great cooking we have heard so much about.
