Thanks for your interest in Jeep® Jamboree USA (JJUSA) Interact powered by theunpaved™! Registration to our site is currently free, but please follow the rules and policies detailed below. Basically, by signing up you agree to play nice, be responsible, and not post any non-Jeep Jamboree related content that is hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any local, state, or federal laws, or our own terms of service as explained below.
Here are the details...
Use AgreementBy registering as a member/user of this site (herein referred to as "site", "website", or "service") and posting any content (e.g., text, photographs, video, etc) on this site, taking part in our discussion group(s), or using other site features, you acknowledge that:
- you're someone interested in off-pavement driving and adventure, such as a beginning or experienced off-pavement driver, passenger, or website visitor (you do not need to own a Jeep® or even be a Jeep Jamboree participant),
- the content you post— which may include text, photos, videos, and other media— is as accurate as possible and conforms to Jeep Jamboree USA guidelines and Tread Lightly! principles,
- you have the rights to distribute the content that you post here and are solely responsible for obtaining those rights, such as copyright and other clearances,
- Jeep® Jamboree USA, Interact, the unpaved™, and anyone affiliated with the administration of this site/services (referred to as "we" or "us") are not responsible for repercussions that might arise from you posting content,
- we have the right to at least temporarily block content when we're made aware of copyright violations (this does not imply we are responsible for monitoring such possible violations),
- we have, at our sole discretion, the right to remove members who repeatedly disregard the above (of course, we prefer to avoid this if possible)
SPECIAL NOTE: Although the administrators, moderators, and automatic filters of this site and forums will attempt to monitor for widely objectionable, non-related content (as indicated above),
we will not be held responsible for evaluating or censoring any content posted here. It is also
impossible for us to review all messages and postings for accuracy, or non-related or objectionable material. Therefore, all messages and postings express the views of the author, and neither we, nor any of the underlying technology developers or service providers, will be held responsible for the content of any message. Member content, including but not limited to their own trail rating indications and personal vehicle/equipment recommendations, have not been verified, and may not be indicative of all Jamborees. JJUSA has
both novice and expert trails available at almost every location, and specific vehicle/participant guidelines for their events; see their
official trail ratings,
official FAQ, and
event listing for more information.
Advertising
Please don't spam us! Members are
encouraged to use our appropriately designated areas, including our "Classifieds" section and possible future "Services" area, to post for-sale, wanted, trade, and/or service related items as indicated in each area. However, except where explicitly allowed (such as the aforementioned sections), advertising, soliciting, "spam," or any other form of remuneration request, directly or indirectly, by or for members is strictly prohibited. While we do not explicitly monitor for such prohibited activity, all prohibited posts we do identify, or are made aware of by other members, may be removed without warning, and the responsible author (i.e., the member responsible for the original posting) may be requested to desist, be put on probation, and/or be banned entirely, at our discretion and without compensation. Although we
will attempt to give warnings where we deem possible, probation or banning may occur with or without advanced warning (the latter mainly for repeat offenders).
Publicity (It's Good for You!)
This is a public site designed to highlight and publicize content contained herein for the promotion and benefit of you, our members, and the interests of outdoor adventure travel. Therefore, you also agree to (a) allow us to highlight and/or re-publish your submitted content in any form (original or modified) and in any manner, including on our site and other media, at any time and without notice or any form of compensation, and (b) not hold us responsible for any publicity you do or do not receive on this site or anywhere else.
This does not apply to private content, including your e-mail address, which will remain private unless you choose otherwise. You may, of course, choose to share your e-mail address at your discretion, or use our public Forums for discussions and private member feedback forms (if available), which don't reveal member e-mail addresses, for private communications between members.
Official Rules, Relationships, Encounters, & Advice
You may find work and relationship opportunities through our service, you may see recommendations and advice posted by members, or you may discover that some members have been "verified" by other members. This can be especially beneficial for networking, but is
not intended as an endorsement by us, any member, or this site, or a replacement for official rules and regulations as indicated by Jeep® Jamboree or other entities. Please see http://jeepjamboreeusa.com/ for official program details, and please use critical thinking skills and be responsible when reading/posting/watching/listening to information found on this site-- we can not be held responsible for any outcomes (good or bad) from leads, tips, work situations, relationships, or encounters that arise on-line, in person, or through other mediums generated directly or indirected through using our site or service. Nor can or will we vouch for or be held responsible for any suggestions or advice, including but not limited to mechanical tips and driving suggestions, posted on this site. You and you alone are responsible for using your own common sense when following any suggestions, and we always recommend you consult with a trained professional (e.g., mechanic, driving instructor) before attempting any suggestion or posting found here or elsewhere, and see http://jeepjamboreeusa.com/ for official program details, information, regulations, and requirements.
This site may also use the following technologies:
Cookies
A "cookie" is just a text file that is routinely used by major websites to store small amounts of information about your visit. This information
is required for you to login, and also let's us see which sections of the site
are most heavily visited, to determine what pages are successful and which are
not, and to generally provide us with feedback to give you a better experience
in the future. Cookies are also used to make your web browsing easier, such as
storing a site password so you don't have to retype it the next time you visit.
For a good introduction to cookies and further explanation of why they're
beneficial, check out
http://www.answers.com/topic/cookie-technology. We use JavaScript to implement cookies, and you should leave both cookies and JavaScript enabled in your browser for the best experience with our site.
Statistics/Counters
"Counters" are typically graphical or text numbers that appear on a home page, and are used to (a) directly indicate to the user how many people (including themselves) have visited the site to date, and (b) indirectly indicate to the site developer/host both the number of visitors and some type of geographical and limited system information. Since the counter can track the ISP or domain a visitor is coming through, the geographical information is basically limited to the domain name or numbers associated with the user's ISP. System information typically relays some or all of the following: the browser type and version, the screen resolution and color depth, and the operating system version. Other system information may also be relayed by the counter, depending upon the counter design. However, please note that our counter will never have access to any of your personal data (such as e-mail, unrelated passwords, or accounting information) stored on your system. We respect your right to privacy and have no interest in gathering information other than that which we've outlined above. We only use the information supplied by the counter to help us create a better functioning and looking site for your enjoyment. Since we only use both cookies and counters to help create a better experience for you, we encourage you to leave them both enabled.
